Description
Why is upgrading to leather floor mats the best way to protect your car?
Car floor mats collect everything from the bottoms of passengers' shoes, and regular carpet mats become impossible to clean, especially in winter with snow, mud, and road salt. Our universal leather floor mats not only have a luxurious look and feel, but are also strong, extra durable, and above all, easy to clean.
Our stylish mats are designed without compromise and will enhance your vehicle by giving it a more luxurious, custom-made look. Our mats are made of five layers of high-quality, eco-friendly* materials that are waterproof and odorless.
Each set of mats is manufactured for a precise fit using a mold created with an advanced laser measuring system that ensures a perfect full coverage fit for your vehicle.
Our mats are fully functional and fireproof, waterproof, and odorless. The high-end, eco-friendly materials used in production make our mats scuff and scratch resistant while remaining safe with their non-slip backing.
Our passenger floor mats come to fit your car in 2 seat, 4 seat, 5 seat and 6, 7, 8 seat vehicles depending on the vehicle configuration or as per your wishes.
Universal Auto Mats offers vehicle mats for over 1,000 models, ranging from 1984 onwards.
Installation
Because our mats are customized for each vehicle make and model, installation is very easy and takes only 5 to 10 minutes. Simply remove your old mats and place the new ones in their place. The side clips should be slid under your vehicle's upholstery to ensure the sides stay in place, protecting all carpeted areas. The backing is made of a hook-and-loop material, which adheres firmly and securely to the vehicle's existing carpet.
Step by Step - Installation
- Open your new mats and lay them flat in a warm place, or use a hairdryer to help the material return to its original shape. Wait about 24 hours.
- Remove your old mats from your vehicle.
- Clean your original carpet so that your new mats make full contact with the carpet to prevent slippage.
- Then, fit your mats inside by matching the design and shape of the mats to the contours of your footwell and pressing them into place. If your mats have them (some don't), you'll see small plastic clips; these hold the mats in place. They slide into the back of your vehicle's upholstery, but there may be cases where clips aren't necessary or even needed when fitting. The mats won't move or shift if this happens.
- Once installed, they fit almost perfectly in every footwell, maintaining good basic shapes and not necessarily following the plastic trim lining. Although our mats are custom-made to perfectly fit the contours of your car's footwells, there may be instances where the fit is rounded or doesn't align perfectly with your vehicle's carpet or plastic trim. This can create the illusion from one's perspective that the fit is incorrect when, in fact, it is correct and aligned.
- Let the car mats settle into the shape of your vehicle for a few days. It will help if you put a heater on the mats around the base to help them settle into place better. In some cases, you may see a slight wrinkle where the mats have bent over. This should disappear over time, but keep the base heated and it will reduce more quickly. Using a hairdryer before installing them and letting them sit for 24 hours is also an option.
